International Fall Forum

The Junior Economic Club is honored to announce its first international forum gathering members from its nine chapters across four countries. Due to the virtual nature of the event, we would like to open it up to students from across the world who do not have Junior Economic Clubs in their cities.

On September 26th, 2020, the Junior Economic Club held its first International Forum, a 3.5-hour virtual event. Over 225 students from 90 schools, 18 cities, and 4 countries gathered to network with like-minded students in the 29 breakout rooms and listen to keynote speakers in the fields of entrepreneurship, business, and economics. Our members came from our chapters in Chicago, New York City, Toronto, Nashville, San Francisco, Atlanta, Austin, Istanbul, and Dubai.

Students heard from our Speakers Matt Renner, President of US Enterprise Commercial at Microsoft, and Swish Goswami, Founder of Trufan, who discussed their career paths and leadership advice for high school students, as well as our Panelists Lucas Chang and Henok (Henny) Yeshanew who spoke to the effects COVID-19 has had on their businesses and the impact that high schoolers can make. Our members from around the world also had the opportunity to participate in the Financial Forecast Activity throughout the event.
