Networking Skills with Annie Hopkins

Ms. Hopkins graduated from Georgetown with a B.S. in International Affairs and has many years of experience in recruiting. She was the Vice President of Diversity Recruiting at Goldman Sachs, and she served as Director of Campus Recruitment at Jopwell. Now, Ms. Hopkins is the Head of American Graduate Recruitment at Deutsche Bank. She has spent her career supporting countless young individuals on their professional journeys, and it was our pleasure to work with once again!

In “Networking Skills with Annie Hopkins,” on April 23rd, Ms. Hopkins discussed the importance of networking and why one should network. As a first step to networking, she encouraged members to create a LinkedIn profile. She recommended starting with a 20-minute informational interview with a person of interest. In addition, Ms. Hopkins provided members with a sample email that they can use and taught members how to have a networking conversation, which includes having questions prepared, taking notes during the conversation, and asking follow-up questions to facilitate the conversation. Finally, she concluded with a Q&A.

Members can find a recording of the event on the member page.
